Summer is coming to Mississauga this month, and bringing exciting entertainment along with it. Explore markets, festivals, and lots of free family activities happening throughout the city this June.
ONGOING EVENTS
- All year long, enjoy Family Fun at Bradley Museum on Saturdays and Sundays, a free, relaxed afternoon drop-in featuring crafts and games that are perfect for kids and parents alike.
- Immerse yourself in the intricate and beautiful world of Indigenous beadwork at Bradley Museum’s exhibit Spirit Seeds until August 3.
- Explore Mississauga’s rich musical landscape at Bradley Museum’s latest exhibition, A City in Tune, a celebration of music in Mississauga highlighting the diverse voices, cultures, and communities that have shaped its sound, from local legends to grassroots movements.
- On Sundays until October 26, visit the Small Arms Inspection Building for the popular Lakeview Farmers’ Market to shop from local farmers and artisans while listening to live music.
- Shop local at Celebration Square with the Lions Farmers Market from June 4 – October 15.
- Visit Celebration Square for Fresh Air Fitness presented by TD, an inspiring outdoor workout happening in the Square every Wednesday evening from June 4 – September 10.
JUNE 1-8
- June 1: Join the Pride Celebration Day event at the Small Arms Inspection Building for a pop-up Makers’ Market and Drag Brunch.
- June 1: Explore the intricate dance between continuity and change, where repetition serves as both a grounding force and a catalyst for transformation, at this year’s Resident Artist Exhibition, Echoes, at the Living Arts Centre.
- June 3: Have your bike’s air, brakes/bell and chain/crank arm checked by a mechanic at the City’s Free Bike Fix it Event at Mississauga Valley Community Centre.
- June 6 – 7: Celebrate the culture and contributions of Polish Canadians at the 10th anniversary of Mississauga Polish Days, a vibrant two-day festival featuring traditional music, dance, cuisine, and art at Celebration Square.
- June 6: Visit the heart of Streetsville as it transforms into a vibrant destination where you can shop for handcrafted goods, taste delicious small-batch eats, and enjoy live music while you stroll the village for First Friday in The ‘Ville at Streetsville Village Square.
- June 7: Join over 1,000 cycling enthusiasts of all ages for one of Mississauga’s hallmark cycling events, Bike the Creek 2025, starting at the Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre, for a ride that brings the community together to explore the region’s urban roads and trails.
- June 7: Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Woodlands Library with fun anniversary activities and programming.
- June 8: Support the Breakfast with Santa Foundation’s programs while indulging in a delicious afternoon tea and enjoying live music at BraeBen Golf Course’s Alice in Braeland Afternoon Tea.
JUNE 9-15
- June 9: Kids ages five to 12 are invited to Skills and Drills Circuit for children, an in-person circuit mini-course teaching you cycling skills and safety, at Mississauga Valley Community Centre.
- June 13 – 14: Get out of the kitchen and visit the 12th annual Handi Mississauga Halal Food Festival, a vibrant celebration that brings together a diverse community to enjoy a variety of delicious halal cuisines at Celebration Square.
- June 14: Explore Applewood by pedalling your way down trails, through parks and up neighbourhood streets at the Applewood Community Ride starting at Garnetwood Park.
- June 14 – 15: Enjoy a free outdoor market full of local charm, Blooms & Berries Festival 2025, inspired by Clarkson Village’s history as the strawberry capital of Ontario, where you can shop local artisans, enjoy historic food samples and crafts and self-guided tours of the venue, Benares Historic House.
JUNE 16-22
- June 17: Have your bike’s air, brakes/bell and chain/crank arm checked by a mechanic at the City’s Free Bike Fix it Event at Streetsville Memorial Park.
- June 18: Youth ages 14-21 are invited to go behind the scenes at Bradley Museum with tours and hands-on, creative activities during the June Youth Nights at the Museum
- June 19: See an open-air screening of The Wild Robot, along with an interactive pre-show, at the first of the summer’s Movie Nights presented by INsauga in Celebration Square.
- June 20: Enjoy a night of laughs with headliner Kenny Robinson along with guest comics Marlon Palmer and Anjelica Scannura during Stand-Up to the Solstice: Kenny Robinson Live at the Living Arts Centre.
- June 21: Explore the community of Clarkson with fellow cyclists on a family-friendly Clarkson Community Ride starting at Clarkson Community Centre.
- June 21: Celebrate Indigenous culture, music, and tradition with National Indigenous Peoples Day 2025 programming, featuring a host of exciting indigenous voices, including a headline performance by Tanya Tagaq, an award-winning Inuk throat singer, in Celebration Square in collaboration with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
- June 22: Teens can make and taste some summertime treats and learn about summertime food traditions from over 200 years ago during Historic Cooking at Benares: Blooms & Berries.
JUNE 23-29
- June 24: Have your bike’s air, brakes/bell and chain/crank arm checked by a mechanic at the City’s Free Bike Fix it Event at Erin Meadows Community Centre.
- June 26: Youth ages 13 and up can join the Gear Up and Get Rolling Workshop at Mississauga Valley Community Centre to learn cycling safety, bike maintenance and techniques to improve their cycling experience.
- June 26: See an open-air screening of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, along with an interactive pre-show, at Movie Nights presented by INsauga in Celebration Square.
- June 28: Visit Celebration Square for a day filled with wellness, arts, music and culture at the free Living With Wellness Arts Festival 2025.
- June 28: Families with kids ages five and up are invited to Latin Arts & Crafts for Kids to learn about Latin American Culture through creative activities at Spanish4You Canada Spanish School.
- June 29: Sing, dance, and play alongside Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and more furry friends as Sesame Street Live! Say Hello takes the stage at the Living Arts Centre with two showtimes.
