Your Guide to Taco Fest Mississauga
What to Expect?
This epic festival will take place at one of Mississauga’s most scenic neighbourhoods, Port Credit, at Memorial Park, known for its waterfront festivals.
The Taco Fest doors open at 11:00 am each day, so you can expect non-stop partying all day long (or until 11:00 pm Saturday and 9:00 pm Sunday when doors close). That said, your ticket will have an event entry time which you will have selected with the purchase of your ticket.
This event includes 25 of the GTA’s top restaurants bringing the best of the best of Mexican cuisine, from classics to intriguing tasty twists; it’s food you won’t find anywhere else, including limited-edition restaurant collabs.
But which restaurants can you expect to find? Toronto’s restaurants Inmigrante and Rancho Relaxo are on the docket, plus you’ll also find 2023’s Taco Fest Toronto’s Best Taco winner, Kong’s Hot Tacos. But will there be any from Mississauga, we hear you ask?
The answer is yes! Rick’s Good Eats is ready to throw down with the competition and will add some Indian flare fusion to this iconic Mexican dish. Plus, you’ll have your chance to vote for your winner for the Best Taco Mississauga.
And don’t believe for a second that tacos are all this festival has to offer; of course, there will also be live Mariachi music, cocktails like margaritas, interactive games, dance lessons, and more.
Adults who enjoy alcoholic beverages will want to take advantage of trying some of the best Tequila and Mezcal around. The tasting station will have over 30 varieties so, whether you like smoky or smooth, this is an experience not to be missed.
And if you’ve ever been curious about how to make the best guacamole, you can watch and learn from the professionals in a guac lesson. There you’ll get the best lime to avocado ratio, and you’ll never question how to get the pit out of the avocado ever again.
If your motto is the spicier, the better, then you’ll want to head to the Hot Sauce Bar. Here you’ll find over 50 unique hot sauce flavours for you to try and even bring home your favourites to keep.
Last, no savoury taco is ever complete without a little something sweet to finish it off. Finish up your feast with some indulgent fluffy churros, or if you prefer to have a little sweet with your tacos, you’ll find plenty of Jarritos Mexican Cola ready to quench your non-alcoholic thirst.
