From merry markets to Motown shows, outdoor skating and crackling fires, there are some truly magical events happening in Mississauga this month. Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss these festivities.

Ongoing Events

  • Journey to Isla Nublar and come the closest you’ll ever get to real dinosaurs at Jurassic World: The Exhibition.
  • Explore identity, home and belonging at Mississauga Stories, four unique exhibitions across two historic sites, the Bradley Museum and the Small Arms Inspection Building, until December 17. 
  • From September 21 until December 18, fantastical sculptures, authentic saloon doors, cowboy-inspired artifacts and more in No Place, in an exhibit that showcases the landscapes and myths of the American Southwest at the Bradley Museum.
  • From November 3 until December 17, join the Museums of Mississauga and Mississauga Libraries for the Experiencing Perspectives Exhibition 2023, a multi-site art exhibit from DEEN resident artists, as well as the interactive activity booth to experience what it is like to live with a disability.
  • Until December 10, Meet Santa at Cocktail International’s Christmas Fair, featuring festive activities, gifts, music and merriment.
  • Throughout the season, until December 31, experience Winter Magic at Celebration Square. Enjoy incredible lights, art displays, heated patios and skating on the city’s largest outdoor rink.
  • Journey to an enchanted world at the Mississauga Festival of Trees, where art installations, markets and music will take over the Small Arms Inspection Building from December 8 – 17.

December 1 - 3

  • December 1: Bring a new toy to Clarke Memorial Hall and enjoy some holiday tunes during Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, a Christmas concert in support of CP24’s & CHUM FM’s Christmas Wish toy drive.
  • December 1: Join the Clarkson Music Theatre for A Chorus Line, a musical capturing the spirit and tension of a Broadway chorus audition.
  • December 1-2: See spectacular martial arts displays as the Toronto International Tournament of Champions comes to the International Centre.
  • December 2: Celebrate the festive season with friends and neighbours at Cooksville’s Magical Holiday Season Celebration where you can enjoy free food around cozy fires while listening to live music and carols.
  • December 2: Head to Meadowvale Community Church to hear some classic songs during Steve Bell in Concert.
  • December 2: Hear holiday favourites performed by the Mississauga Festival Choir as they kick off their 40th season during Holidays by Request at the Living Arts Centre.
  • December 2: Join a cast of princesses, magicians, musicians and even Santa Claus for the Latin Christmas Festival, a day of free festive family fun at the Small Arms Inspection Building. 
  • December 2-3: Bring the kids for some fun at the Santa Claus Christmas Playland Party for themed playtime at the Amazing Adventures Playland indoor playground.
  • December 2-3: Support Cawthra Park Secondary School as it hosts its 16th annual Fair December Winter Marketplace where you can shop from local makers. A portion of admission proceeds benefit the Compass Food Bank.
  • December 2-3: Explore classic and modern computers at the 40th-anniversary WORLD OF COMMODORE 2023 Computer Expo at the Admiral Inn Mississauga.
  • December 3: Enjoy the December edition of Rama Gaming House’s Throwback Concert Series during New Kid In Town: A Tribute to Eagles.
  • December 3: Take part in an annual holiday tradition and watch Mississauga’s Santa Claus Parade.
  • December 3: Shop for interesting antiquities at The Sunday Antique Market at the Small Arms Inspection Building.
  • December 3: The Mississauga Steelheads face off against the Sudbury Wolves at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 3: Experience a holiday classic as the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine performs The Nutcracker at the Living Arts Centre.
  • December 3: Join the City of Mississauga’s Resident Artists for the Holiday Artist Market and explore a one-of-a-kind art showcase.

December 4 - 10

December 11 - 17

  • December 12: The Raptors 905 face off against the Delaware Blue Coats at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 14: The Raptors 905 once again face off against the Delaware Blue Coats at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 15: The Mississauga Steelheads face off against the Oshawa Generals at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 17: The Mississauga Steelheads face off against the Ottawa 67s at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 16: Join the Mississauga Youth Symphony Orchestra as they present A Merry Little Christmas in a joint performance with the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra at the Living Arts Centre.
  • December 16: Experience a once-in-a-lifetime holiday performance where daring circus acts meet electrifying rock music during A Christmas Rockstory: A Holiday Circus Spectacular at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

December 18 - 24

  • December 19 – 21: Indulge in a feast for the senses at LIVE Restaurant’s Holiday Brunch Buffet.
  • December 22: Be dazzled by Legends of Motown is a 16-piece cast of singers and musicians performing live look-alike/sound-a-like tributes to The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Jackson 5, Martha and the Vandellas and more during A Merry Motown Christmas at the Living Arts Centre.

December 25 - 31

  • December 28: The Mississauga Steelheads face off against the Windsor Spitfires at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 29: The Mississauga Steelheads face off against the Peterborough Petes at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 12: The Raptors 905 face off against the Wisconsin Herd at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • December 31: Ring in the new year in Celebration Square with skating, special performances and a fireworks display during the New Year’s Eve 2024 celebration.
