Kicking off with Canada Day celebrations, Mississauga is keeping the excitement going with free festivals, concerts and family fun all month long. From sports and fitness to music and movies, there’s something for everyone in Sauga this July. Check out our guide to the fantastic events happening each week.

Ongoing Events

  • NMTO’s Summer Kickoff festival continues through Canada Day, with food vendors serving up cuisines from around the world, family programming, contests and more! Kick off the summer in Mississauga at Square One Lot P3. 
  • Learn about Black history in Mississauga through the stories of young Caribbean Canadians who shaped a distinctly Canadian culture here in the 1980s at the special exhibition created by a BIPOC Community Curator, Generation X Marks the Spot: Black History in Mississauga at the Bradley Museum.
  • Discover the mutually beneficial and cyclical relationship between community and parks and greenspaces of Mississauga at the Bradley Museum’s special exhibition Meet Me at the Park from April 25 – July 21.
  • On Sundays from May 26 – October 27, visit the Small Arms Inspection Build for the popular Lakeview Farmers Market to shop from local farmers and artisans while listening to live music.
  • Shop local at Celebration Square with the Lions Farmers Market from June 5 – October 16.
  • Visit Celebration Square for Fresh Air Fitness presented by TD, an inspiring outdoor workout happening in the Square every Wednesday evening from June 5 – September 11.
  • Fit some fitness into your Tuesday mornings all summer long with Outdoor Fitness at Bradley Museum, free classes led by City of Mississauga instructors, on until August 27.
  • Bring your kids for some family-friendly, interactive fun at the Celebration Square Amphitheatre during Open Air Storytime presented by TD, every Wednesday morning until August 28, as Mississauga Public Library staff read, sing songs and lead fun kids activities.
  • Find beautifully crafted home goods, jewellery and one-of-a-kind pieces at the Lakeview Artisan Market, happening at the Small Arms Inspection Building on select Sundays from May 26 – October 27.

July 1 - 7

  • July 1: Visit Celebration Square for the City of Mississauga’s incredible MCS Canada Day 2024 celebration including performances by Crash Adams, 30+ food trucks presented by Night Market TO, a Camp Canuck Kids Zone that reaches all the way to the Living Arts Centre and tons of live entertainment, followed by a spectacular fireworks show.
  • July 1: Head to Port Credit for some family fun including a parade, kids activities, entertainment and a fireworks display at the annual Paint the Town Red Port Credit Canada Day Celebrations happening at Port Credit Memorial Park.
  • July 1: Enjoy hits by Canadian rockers, activities for kids, a performance by Streetsville Pipes & Drums, free cake and fireworks at the Streetsville Canada Day Celebrations at Streetsville Village Square.
  • July 4: Bring your family, some chairs, snacks and blankets to Celebration Square for Movie Nights presented by InSauga and enjoy this week’s featured movie, Kung Fu Panda 4.
  • July 5: Visit the Benares Historic House to enjoy the free music series, On the Verandah Outdoor Music Concerts 2024. This week’s featured performer is The Peter Banting Swingtet.
  • July 5: Visit Streetsville Village Square for a free performance by singer/guitarist Natasha Meister, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.
  • July 7: Experience the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra in a free, open-air concert at Port Credit Memorial Park, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.

July 8 - 14

  • July 12 – 14: Jackalope, a thrilling festival where incredible athletes compete and show off their skills in skateboarding, BASE jumping, breakdancing and bouldering, is coming to Celebration Square. Between the demonstrations, check out the pop-up shops and grab a bite to eat at the nearby restaurants and food trucks.
  • July 12: Sing your heart out at Karaoke for a Cause: Fundraiser for Studio.89’s SYC Program, a fun-filled night to support local youth.
  • July 12: Visit the Benares Historic House to enjoy the free music series, On the Verandah Outdoor Music Concerts 2024. This week’s featured performer is Dixieland Plus.
  • July 13: Celebrate Somali culture, music and traditions at the Hiddo Cultural Event at the Living Arts Centre.
  • July 13: Join the David Parks Trio for an open-air concert at Cooksville Four Corners, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.
  • July 14: Support individuals with disabilities and their families at the 2024 Volta Luso Charities annual walk, run or cycle event taking place at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of Mississauga. This fun annual fundraiser has no registration fees and all donations go towards programs and services for persons with disabilities. Enjoy live entertainment, food and prizes for top fundraisers.
  • July 14: Visit Port Credit Memorial Park to listen to Shout! The British Invasion as they perform songs capturing the spirit of early 60s rock and roll, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.

July 15 - 21

  • July 18: Bring your family, chairs, snacks and blankets to Celebration Square for Movie Nights presented by InSauga and enjoy this week’s featured movie, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
  • July 19: Visit the Benares Historic House to enjoy the free music series, On the Verandah Outdoor Music Concerts 2024. This week’s featured performer is the Octokats.
  • July 19: Hear El Ceibo perform a variety of Argentinian folk music at Streetsville Village Square, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.
  • July 19 – 21: Experience the world’s largest Muslim arts festival, Muslim Fest 2024 at Celebration Square, featuring storytellers, musicians, dancers and artists of all forms, along with exhibits, a fun village and so much more.
  • July 20: Join The Mom Market Peel Region and Stonehooker Brewery for the Come Together Community Artisan Market to enjoy live music, local brews in the outdoor Biergarten and shopping from dozens of unique shops.
  • July 21: Enjoy classic big band standards and great jazz styles from bebop to the blues as the Mississauga Big Band Jazz Ensemble performs at Port Credit Memorial Park, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.

July 22 - 28

  • July 24: Meet Bollywood stars Kavita Krishnamurti, Yasser Desai and Dr. L. Subramaniam at the #BollywoodMonster Launch Party at C Banquets.
  • July 25: Bring your family, chairs, snacks and blankets to Celebration Square for Movie Nights presented by InSauga and enjoy this week’s featured movie, Barbie.
  • July 26: Visit the Benares Historic House to enjoy the free music series, On the Verandah Outdoor Music Concerts 2024. This week’s featured performer is the Mississauga Pops. 
  • July 26: Join incredible eight-year-old singer, composer and pianist Kalia with Ben Foran for a free performance at Streetsville Village Square, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.
  • July 26 – 27: Head to Celebration Square for #BollywoodMonster Mashup 2024, a free multi-day South Asian arts festival that features international Bollywood stars, live performances, food, shopping, kids activities, a laser show and more.
  • July 27: Celebrate the vibrant and diverse Goan culture, cuisine, and music at the VIVA GOA FESTIVAL 2024 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • July 27: Enjoy a free performance by multi-instrumentalist songwriter Stephanie Maria at Cooksville Four Corners, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.
  • July 28: Experience the Back 2 Roots Festival, the biggest Indian Punjabi festival of the year, as teams from all over the world perform Bhangra & Giddha (folk dances of Punjab) performances at the Living Arts Centre.
  • July 28: Listen to Latin jazz and world music performed by Afro-Dominican percussionist, drummer and band leader Junior Santos at Port Credit Memorial Park, part of the Summer Concert Series presented by RBC.
