ONGOING EVENTS

  • This summer, until August 24, join Learn to Fish 2025, a fun and engaging program combining a one-hour practical teaching session with one hour of supervised hands-on fishing at Lake Aquitaine Park and Lakefront Promenade.
  • Meet local firefighters, explore a fire truck, enjoy free snacks, learn about fire safety and cool off at Splash into Safety with Mississauga Fire Services, happening Wednesdays from July 9 – August 20 at Mississauga parks.
  • All year long, enjoy Family Fun at Bradley Museum on Saturdays and Sundays, a free, relaxed afternoon drop-in featuring crafts and games that are perfect for kids and parents alike.
  • Immerse yourself in the intricate and beautiful world of Indigenous beadwork at Bradley Museum’s exhibit Spirit Seeds until August 3.
  • On select Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings until October 4, learn about Port Credit’s rich heritage with Historian Richard Collins during a Historic Walking Tour.
  • Until August 3, explore Mississauga’s rich musical landscape at Bradley Museum’s latest exhibition, A City in Tune, a celebration of music in Mississauga highlighting the diverse voices, cultures, and communities that have shaped its sound, from local legends to grassroots movements.
  • On Thursday evenings in August, visit Port Credit for Classic Country Thursdays to see cool classic cars while listening to country music performances.
  • Join the hottest part in the city as Salsa in the Square brings free salsa and bachata lessons to Streetsville Village Square Saturday evenings throughout August.
  • On Sundays until October 26, visit the Small Arms Inspection Building for the popular Lakeview Farmers’ Market to shop from local farmers and artisans while listening to live music.
  • Shop local at Celebration Square with the Lions Farmers Market from June 4 – October 15.
  • Visit Celebration Square for Fresh Air Fitness presented by TD, an inspiring outdoor workout happening in the Square every Wednesday evening from June 4 – September 10.
  • Join an outdoor open-mic night featuring musicians, spoken word artists, dancers, comedians and everything in between during Amphitheatre Unplugged at Celebration Square on Wednesday evenings in August.
  • Until August 29, kids ages 6 to 12 can join Play in the Park, a free, supervised, drop-in outdoor program with fun recreational activities, including organized games, sports, crafts, theme days, and special events in local neighbourhood parks.

AUGUST 4-10

  • August 7: Pack your blankets and get ready for some stargazing as Celebration Square hosts Movie Nights presented by INsauga featuring Dog Man.
  • August 8: See Jade Hilton perform her storytelling songs in a free summer concert series live show at Streetsville Village Square.
  • August 9: See international Punjabi superstars and Bhangra performances at RED FM Summer Bhangra Jam 2025, a free festival at Celebration Square.
  • August 9: Hop on your bike and explore the parks and trails of Mississauga’s northwest corner during a Lisgar Community Ride starting at Tobias Mason Park.
  • August 9: Enjoy a free summer concert series performance by Bourbon & Co, a trio blending acoustic rock, pop, and soul into a captivating experience at Cooksville Four Corners.
  • August 9: Join not-for-profit Tamil theatre troupe Mississauga Creations’ 20th Anniversary Celebration with shows and stand-up comedy at Meadowvale Theatre.
  • August 10: All are welcome to experience a day filled with art, music, and community spirit during Senior Artistry Day at the Mississauga Civic Centre.

AUGUST 11-17

  • August 13: Join a vibrant celebration of youth innovation and entrepreneurship at the IDEA Connect Summer Market at IDEA Square One.

  • August 15 – 17: Visit the Port for a weekend of street performances featuring magic, acrobatics, music, and so much more at Port Credit Busker Fest.
  • August 16 – 17: Celebrate Japanese culture with two days of entertainment, technological showcases and hands-on activities for the whole family at Japan Festival Canada 2025 at Celebration Square.
  • August 16: Enjoy a free summer concert series performance by Latino artist Papi AQ at Cooksville Four Corners.
  • August 16: Visit the Paramount Fine Foods Centre Community Rinks for the Cruisers Sports Multi-Sport Try It Day, a chance to try a variety of different sports for free, no matter your ability or experience level.
  • August 16: Experience an incredible show during the Jordan Sandhu Alpha Tour 2025 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

AUGUST 18-24

  • August 18 – 24: See the stars of the LPGA Tour as the CPKC Women’s Open comes to the Mississauga Golf and Country Club, its first time in Ontario since 2022.

  • August 28: Pack your blankets and get ready for some stargazing as Celebration Square hosts Movie Nights presented by INsauga featuring A Minecraft Movie.
  • August 29 – 31: Celebrate Muslim arts, culture, and entertainment at MuslimFest 2025, a free three-day festival at Celebration Square, including a bazaar with small businesses, cultural performances, and workshops.
  • August 29: See award-winning indie rock quartet Jammer’s Waffle House perform in a free summer concert series live show at Streetsville Village Square.
  • August 30 – September 1: Experience soccer like never before at Mississauga Hong Kong Festival – World Kong Cup, a chance to taste the unique style of Hong Kong-inspired 7-a-side soccer, along with various cultural fusion activities, at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • August 30: Enjoy a free summer concert series performance by The Dusty Miller Band, a high-octane, gritty Rock and Blues cover band, at Cooksville Four Corners.
  • August 30: Visit Meadowvale Theatre to see talented local and international nasheed artists as they tell the story of the birth of Prophet Muhammad during the Celebrate Muhammad Mawlid Festival 2025.
  • August 31: Join iRey on the Riddim with the FullaSound Crew, a dynamic fusion of Caribbean rhythms and modern urban sounds, for a free summer concert series performance at Port Credit Memorial Park.
