What’s Happening in Mississauga This October

Autumn has arrived in Mississauga, bringing with it some not-so-spooky Halloween fun, cultural festivals, world-class concerts and dozens of seasonal experiences. Make the most of the sweater weather and discover the incredible line-up of events happening in Sauga this month.

Ongoing Events

  • All year long, enjoy Family Fun at the Mississauga museums, a free, relaxed afternoon drop-in featuring crafts and games that are perfect for kids and parents alike, happening on Saturdays at Bradley Museum and Sundays at Benares Historic House.
  • On select Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings until October 11, learn about Port Credit’s rich heritage with Historian Richard Collins during a Historic Walking Tour.
  • On Sundays until October 26, visit the Small Arms Inspection Building for the popular Lakeview Farmers’ Market to shop from local farmers and artisans while listening to live music.
  • Shop local at Celebration Square with the Lions Farmers Market from June 4 – October 15.
  • From October 4 to December 28, visit Adamson Estate to explore A History Exposed: The Enslavement of Black People in Canada, a groundbreaking new exhibition shining a light on how enslavement came to be in Canada, and the enslavers.

  • October 9: Experience the magic of cinema during this curated film series presented in collaboration with the TIFF Film Circuit, REEL Thursdays: The Wedding Banquet, at the Living Arts Centre.
  • October 9: See The Sunshine Orchestra with Special Guest A.R. Rahman at the Living Arts Centre in a performance comprised of exceptionally gifted young musicians from under-resourced communities who receive world-class training at A.R. Rahman’s K.M. Music Conservatory in India.
  • October 10: Get up close and personal with Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services and various community partners at its state-of-the-art facility during the Fire Prevention Week 2025 – Open House with free food, face painting, and activities for all ages.
  • October 10: Join Music Without Borders for Diwan: A Damascene Love – To Nizar Qabbani, a musical tribute to the renowned Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani, at Meadowvale Theatre.
  • October 10: Dance along to North America’s #1 ABBA tribute, ABBA Revisited LIVE! at the Living Arts Centre.
  • October 11: See UNESCO Artist for Peace and one of the most influential figures in Arabic music, Oud Virtuoso Naseer Shamma – Live in Concert, presented by Music Without Borders and the Iraqi Canadian Society at Meadowvale Theatre.
  • October 12: Leave the holiday cooking to the chefs at LIVE Restaurant and enjoy a sumptuous meal during the special Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Dinner.
  • October 12: Enjoy an evening of karaoke and dance performances during Ek Aur Shaam Sangeet Ke Naam at Meadowvale Theatre.

  • October 17: Experience an incredible classic rock show straight from Las Vegas, featuring hits from greats like Kiss, Van Halen, Queen, Cher and many more, as Ikons of Rock takes its tour to Meadowvale Theatre.
  • October 17: Discover the story of Syria, seen through the eyes of its people and narrated by the legendary Jamal Suliman, in Windows of the Soul at the Living Arts Centre.
  • October 17: Soak in the magical candlelit ambiance of the OneWorld Peace Lumina Concert, a celebration of music, culture, and global harmony, at the Living Arts Centre.
  • October 18: Treat yourself to indulgent, upscale dining with the Buffet at LIVE Restaurant for MSO pre-orchestra dinner.
  • October 18: Join the Mississauga Symphony as it opens its remarkable 2025-26 concert season with The Pastoral Experience, an evening of timeless masterworks that celebrate the beauty and majesty of nature.
  • October 18 – 19: Explore works by over 40 local artists, a youth art exhibit, interactive workshops, a community art project, live music, and more during the Lakeshore Art Trail – all under one roof at the historic Small Arms Inspection Building.
