We at Holy Smokez took an interest in smoking meats for that unique taste back in the early eighties. After a day of fishing, we would load our little portable wood smoker with the daily catch. Experimenting with different woods, spices and cooking techniques looking for that perfect balance. Eventually we evolved to maple smoking our own bacon until we mastered one of the most amazing flavours, let me tell you there’s nothing greater than the satisfaction of tasting your own smoked bacon for breakfast. 

As the hobby grew over time so did the equipment, eventually evolving to the creation of better dry rubs, barbecue sauces and perfect meats.

Now with over 30 plus years of experience and travelling throughout North America testing many Mom and Pop BBQ joints as well large chain shops, we had something to compare to ensuring that true southern taste.

We then began developing our own system perfecting it to what our customers have come to enjoy and expect.

Prior to entering our smoker, the meat is coated in our special blend of dry-rub (spices) then allowed to marinate in its own juices for several hours. Then into the smoker it goes creating a flavour combination of smoke, meat juices, fat and our special blend of spices for that sweet, tender, mouth watering taste we’re so proud of.

So we look forward to your visiting us and the chance to serve you some of the best BBQ we think you’ll ever eat. You might say we took a page from the book of southern barbecue and rewrote it.
