The Discovery Centre Artist-In-Residence Series (Year 2)!
March 14 – 11:00 am – March 16 – 3:00 pm
You are invited to a community art workshop series in Mississauga, as part of the Lakeview Village Discovery Centre Artists-In-Residence Program, in partnership with Artscape Atelier.
The first 3 workshops are happening during March Break, so sign up and come by for thoughtful creative activities and Indigenous knowledge sharing opportunities!
*Limited spots available. Please reserve your tickets to save your spot. We will not exceed the capacity of each workshop, but will have a waitlist in case any cancellations occur.*
The below artists will be sharing their Indigenous knowledge in a number of thoughtful art workshops, all levels are welcome!
Artists, Naomi Smith (Black Tulip Designs) and Pandora Wilhelm (Mulberry Design & Engravings) are this years artists-in-residence, and will be holding a variety of exciting and inspiring community art workshops inspired by their Indigenous knowledge and our connection to water, in a series of six workshops total (three workshops per artist).
These workshops are geared to older Youth and adults (recommended age 13-15+) and parents/guardians! This event is in person indoors at the Discovery Centre Gallery. Please note that all youth (under 18 years old) require to be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event (guardian/parent). Please also sign up for the event to claim your individual spots and enjoy a family-fun activity!
Naomi Smith (Black Tulip Designs) first 2 workshops will happen during March Break on: Tuesday March 14th (11am-3:30pm) and Wednesday March 15th (11am-3:30pm).
Pandora Wilhelm (Mulberry Design & Engravings) first workshop will happen during March Break on: Thursday March 16th (10am-3pm).
Artists will also have a further 3 total workshops happening during April and May 2023 (dates and details to be announced)!
