REEL Thursdays: Out Standing

March 12 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Out Standing shares the powerful story of Sandra Perron, the first woman to serve as an infantry officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Growing up in a military family, she was determined to follow her own path and enlisted in 1984.

Beyond the intense physical demands of the role, Perron confronted harassment, abuse, and deeply rooted institutional sexism within the military — challenges that tested her resilience in profound ways. The film offers an intimate and compelling look at her strength, perseverance, and the personal struggles beneath her determined exterior.

Screening Time: 106 minutes
Audience Advisory: Violence, coarse language, mature themes, sexual violence
