JACKALOPE

Returning after a hugely successful debut in 2024, Jackalope is the ultimate in action sports, featuring international athletes competing in cash prizes in BMX, skateboarding, motocross, bouldering, base jumping (yes you read that right), vert ramp, and breaking. Visitors can witness the adrenaline-pumping competition, while also enjoying a variety of pop-up shops, food trucks, live music, and more all weekend long. 

The festival, produced by TRIBU, will take place from July 11-13 in downtown Mississauga at Celebration Square and Square One Shopping Centre (Ontario’s largest mall with over 300+ shops and 100+ dining options), and is completely free to the public courtesy of Visit Mississauga.

CPKC WOMEN'S OPEN

The stars of the LPGA Tour are coming to Mississauga from August 20-24 for this significant event. Some of the world’s top golfers will be competing for a chance to win the prestigious tournament on the course at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club. This historic club will become only the eighth club to host Golf Canada’s four premier events: CPKC Women’s Open, RBC Canadian Open, Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship, and Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship.

The 2025 CPKC Women’s Open promised to be a fun-filled event celebrating the game of golf, with plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy and a club full of amenities and gorgeous views allowing spectators to find a great vantage point to catch all the action of the LPGA Tour.

BRKFREE

BRKFREE is a brand-new interactive experience ideal for couples or groups. The sprawling 25,000 square feet space boasts over 35 rooms offering a combination of physical, mental, and skill-based challenges to conquer. HUB CLIMBING

Summer in Mississauga is brimming with cultural festivals offering a glimpse into the rich diversity of the city and its community. Immerse yourself in the history, culture, cuisine, crafts and dance of countries from around the world, all here in Mississauga. Below is a short list of just some of the vibrant festivals happening in the city this summer.

  • May 24 & 25 Carassauga: Canada’s largest multicultural festival is celebrating its 40th year in 2025 and is sure to be an energy-filled weekend with live performances from over 2,500 performers, interactive activities such as dance lessons and arts & crafts, delicious food from over 50 cultural food vendors, and more!
  • July 18-20 Mississauga Latin Festival: Over three days visitors can enjoy the music, food, art, dance, and performances from Latin America.
  • August 2 & 3 Mosaic Festival: Hosted in Mississauga Celebration Square, this festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and is sure to be a special affair presenting an exciting array of A-list musicians and rising stars in the South Asian community.
  • August 22 & 23 Italfest: Who doesn’t love Italian food? Italfest is a true celebration of Italian history, heritage, and culture. Visitors can enjoy traditional music, song, and folk lore, and a range of interactive activities such as bocce ball, Scopa and Briscola tournaments, AND pasta and watermelon eating contests! If you’d rather be a spectator you can also enjoy shopping the artisan and craft booths, witness culinary demonstrations by local Italian chefs and live musical performances.
  • August 16 & 17 Japan Festival: Canada’s largest Japanese summer event is back at Celebration Square and you can experience incredible live performances of dance, music, and martial arts, try tasty Japanese cuisines, gaze at beautiful traditional art and shop the vendor market.
  • August 5-7 Southside Shuffle: The annual Port Credit Blues and Jazz Festival is back, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes to this electric event. Over three days you can enjoy Canadian and International musical acts, food vendors, an artisan market, and more! Don’t miss the free Saturday afternoon street party held in the village. Please note two of the stages are free, and one is ticketed (but it will be worth it, trust us).

VENTURE FROM LAND TO WATER

Cool off this summer with a variety of water-based events and attractions sure to keep the action going.

MISSISSAUGA DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

This event is a must-see, for boaters and spectators alike. Taking place on June 8 in Port Credit, this thrilling race brings teams of 18 to 22 people together to compete in two heats and one final race to determine the winning boat. During race day attendees can also enjoy a pop-up market of local vendors, live music, and soak it all in at the beer garden located along the Credit River.

FAMILY FISHING WEEK

For more serene pursuits, Family Fishing Week starts June 28, enabling expert anglers and beginners alike to indulge in license-free fishing at Mississauga’s best locations. Prime fishing spots include Erindale Park, Lake Aquitaine Park, Meadowvale Conservation Area, and Streetsville Memorial Park.

Don’t have the equipment? No sweat, Meadowvale Conservation Area and select branches of the Mississauga Public Library have you covered.

WADE INTO THE WATERS
