Travel around the world without leaving the city! Mississauga’s diverse resident population is at the core of its cultural fabric, with over 52% speaking a language other than English, and over 145 languages being spoken.  The richness of our community is prevalent in the city’s many festivals, culinary offerings, and arts scene.

Looking for an authentic European experience? Check out Mississauga Polish Days Festival on June 6 & 7. Your family can enjoy live performances, traditional food, beer gardens, a Children’s Village, arts and cultural exhibits, and more! Looking to head south of the border? Indulge in mouth-watering Latino food, folklore and culture at Mississauga Latin Festival from July 18 – 20. Both hosted in the heart of the city at Mississauga Celebration Square. 

Food lovers can indulge at the Mississauga Halal Food Festival from June 13 – 15 and shop local produce during one of the city’s many farmers markets throughout the summer.

Canada Day #INThePort is a vibrant street festival celebrating our beautiful country and everyone who calls it home.  On July 1, the celebrations kick off with a parade, and wraps up with a symphony of fireworks set along the beautiful back drop of Port Credit. Canada Day celebrations can also be enjoyed in the heart of the city at Celebration Square.

The festival fun doesn’t stop there, with #BollywoodMonster Mashup on July 25 & 26, Mosaic Festival from August 1 – 3 and more taking place almost every weekend over the summer.

Get in on the Action at JACKALOPE

For the adrenaline-junkies, feel the rush at JACKALOPE Mississauga, Canada’s largest action sports festival. Here extreme sports take centre stage with impressive stunts and incredible talent. The FREE 3-day festival hosts world-class competitions and demonstrations by world-renowned athletes in skateboarding,  breaking, bouldering, BMX, and base jumping.

Have family members who are skateboard enthusiasts? Festival-goers can purchase a Shredder pass to showcase their tricks on the Vert ramp and skatepark during free skate sessions (must bring your own skateboard and helmet).

During the festival you can also enjoy DJ sets, food trucks, vendors, and enter for a chance to win some great prizes at the Visit Mississauga booth.

You won’t want to miss out on the action. JACKALOPE takes place from July 11 – 13 in Mississauga Celebration Square.

During your stay, be sure to check out the Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Immersive Experience, both at Square One Shopping Centre right across the street.

Looking for some fantastical family fun? The uber-popular role playing game comes alive in DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Immersive Quest, on for a limited time at Square One Shopping Centre! This activation is sure to please parents and kids alike, as you choose your character, start your heroic fantasy quest, and face unique challenges along the way in an immersive space spanning 15,000 square feet. Only on for a limited time until July 27, you won’t want to miss it!

Following the release of A Minecraft Movie, nostalgic parents and avid players can enter the world of the popular video game at the brand new Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue. Making its Canadian debut in Mississauga on June 20 for a limited time, longtime Minecrafters, new players, and families of all ages can journey into the Overworld and become real-life heroes on a thrilling quest. During this action-packed adventure and scavenger hunt, adventurers will enter the experience, journey through seven Minecraft realms, and help rescue the village under siege from a zombie attack. This experience is also located at Square One Shopping Centre.

Once you’ve completed your quests, you can refuel at Square One, with over 100 dining options available.

Soak Up the Sun with an Outdoor Adventure

Explore the vibrant outdoors of Mississauga, where scenic parks, peaceful waterfronts, and picturesque trails invite visitors to enjoy nature’s beauty. A must-visit spot for outdoor lovers is Paddle On, offering a variety of equipment rentals including canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. With these options, you’ll be able to spend a serene day on the lake. 

For a relaxed day outdoors, pack a picnic and head to one of Mississauga’s many parks. Spread out a blanket, soak up the sun, and enjoy quality time with loved ones surrounded by greenery and fresh air. Those seeking adventure can hit the trails, immersing themselves in the natural landscapes Mississauga has to offer. Rattray Marsh Conservation Area offers the last remaining lakefront marsh of its kind in the area, along with breathtaking views of Lake Ontario.

Scattered across the city you can rent an e-bike or scooter from Lime (app download required), allowing you to pick up and drop off at a location of your choosing.
