From September through October 2026, the square plays host to five massive cultural festivals. Each event brings unique, authentic flavours, live performances, and family-friendly activities right to the heart of the city.

Celebrate the rich history and vibrant traditions of Egypt’s Coptic community. This festival features live music, heritage displays, and traditional activities for all ages. Visitors can also sample authentic Egyptian street food and sweet treats throughout the weekend. Be sure to try hawawshi, a spiced minced beef blend baked inside a warm pocket of pita bread, or pick up a box of sweet, honey-soaked basbousa cake.

The festival highlights the community’s creative spirit through vibrant dance showcases and traditional music. The food vendors serve up classic Filipino favourites, including savoury lechon, skewers, and sweet halo-halo. Do not miss the chance to try pork adobo slow-cooked in garlic and vinegar, or cool down with a colourful cup of ube-infused shaved ice.

This two-day festival celebrates the diverse arts, music, and food of African heritage. The square fills with high-energy drum performances, local artisan booths, and a bustling food market. It is a wonderful space to enjoy rich cultural storytelling and delicious, authentic African dishes. Follow the smokey aromas to find perfectly spiced Nigerian Jollof rice, sweet fried puff-puff dough balls, and deeply seasoned jerk chicken fresh off the grill.

Grab a hot, fresh wrap made with saj flatbread, and finish your meal with a slice of warm, cheesy kunafa pastry topped with sweet syrup.

Welcome the festival of lights with this massive, high-energy celebration. The event features musical concerts, Bollywood performances, and a brilliant display of colours. Guests can browse the Diwali bazaar for festive goods and visit the “Diwalicious” food court to enjoy a wide variety of South Asian treats. Make space on your plate for crispy, tangy golgappe (pani puri) filled with spiced water, and treat yourself to bright orange, freshly fried jalebi for dessert.
