Discover the art of henna in this engaging, hands-on workshop led by artist Ankita Sherkhane. Participants will explore the rich cultural traditions and history of henna through a brief introductory presentation before learning the techniques behind creating their own unique designs.

Using individual henna cones, attendees will have the opportunity to apply their creations to themselves or a partner and leave with a beautiful temporary henna tattoo (mehndi) that can be enjoyed for weeks afterward. All materials are included with registration.

Suitable for all experience levels, this workshop is open to participants aged 16 and older and offers a welcoming environment to learn, create, and connect through this traditional art form.

Ankita Sherkhane’s passion for henna began at the age of 10 and has evolved into a lifelong artistic practice. Through her work, she enjoys bringing people together, celebrating meaningful moments, and sharing cultural traditions. From community events and farmers’ markets to educational workshops, Ankita creates designs that inspire joy, connection, and creativity. She is also committed to giving back, regularly donating proceeds from her henna work to support local initiatives such as food banks and healthcare-related causes.
