Visitors are invited to the Adamson Estate for the opening reception of A City in Tune: Mississauga’s Greatest Hits, the newest exhibition from Museums of Mississauga.

Taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event will feature complimentary refreshments and an opportunity to be among the first to experience the exhibition. The official opening will include remarks from Councillor Dasko at 11:00 a.m.

Named a Music City in 2023, Mississauga has built a reputation as a hub for exceptional musical talent and innovation. A City in Tune showcases nearly 70 years of the city’s musical history through a collection of instruments, stage outfits, archival materials, memorabilia, and other iconic artifacts. The exhibition highlights the artists, innovators, and community builders who have helped shape Mississauga’s vibrant music scene.

Building on the success of the city’s first music history exhibition at Bradley Museum in 2025, this reimagined exhibition explores new stories and celebrates some of Mississauga’s most influential musicians. Guests will discover the people, places, and creative spaces that have contributed to the city’s musical legacy from the 1960s to today.

Please note that Adamson Estate has a maximum capacity of 60 guests at one time. If capacity is reached, entry will be paused until space becomes available. While the opening reception runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., visitors are welcome to explore the exhibition until 4:00 p.m. on the opening day. Following the launch, the exhibition will be open Thursday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. throughout its run.
