Ongoing Events

  • Journey to Isla Nublar and come the closest you’ll ever get to real dinosaurs at Jurassic World: The Exhibition.
  • Learn how you can take climate action at We are Resilient, a travelling exhibition featuring perspectives from scientific leaders and compelling photographs and stories created by Mississauga residents until August 7.
  • Shop for local, sustainable produce, unique artisan products and more at the Port Credit Farmers Market every Saturday from June 3 – October 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Elmwood lot. (3 Elmwood Ave. North)
  • Visit the Lions Farmers Market every Wednesday from June 7 – October 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to support local farmers while enjoying some of the city’s finest produce and homemade goods.
  • Back for its fourth season, visit the Lakeview Farmers’ and Artisan Market at the Small Arms Inspection Building for a unique indoor and outdoor market experience featuring shopping, activities and live entertainment.
  • Enjoy some free family fun under the stars every Thursday evening at Celebration Square’s Movie Nights, on until August 31.
  • Listen to beautiful music in the fresh air at Benares Historic House during On the Verandah – Outdoor Music Concerts 2023 until August 11.
  • Head to Rama Gaming House for the Hump Day Patio Party to say goodbye to the mid-week blues on Wednesdays until August 30 from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. for food music and games.
  • Join the Mississauga Library staff each Wednesday from July 5 – August 30 for Open Air Storytime, an interactive program with stories, songs, rhymes and other fun activities.
  • From August 3 – 20, be dazzled by delightful acrobatic performances and amazing spectacles at the Royal Canadian Circus.
  • Visit Lakeshore Road in Port Credit every Thursday evening in August for Classic Cars Thursdays to listen to live music while you admire displays of some of history’s coolest cars.
  • Move your body alongside top instructors offering free muscle-pumping, high-energy classes for folks of all fitness levels and abilities to enjoy during Fresh Air Fitness at Celebration Square, every Tuesday until August 29.

August 1st - 6th

  • August 1 – 4: RSVP for a sweet treat as Sweet on Yelp comes to Mississauga’s Xe Kem Mississauga, serving up some Vietnamese sweets.
  • August 2: Pull up a lawn chair in Port Credit Memorial Park for Free Concerts in the Park with the Mississauga Pops!
  • August 2: Listen to live music from jazz RnB singer Alana Edwards while you browse the showcase at The Greatest Art Show at the Small Arms Inspection Building.
  • August 4: Head to Streetsville Village Square for the weekly Summer Concert Series. This week’s concert features indie-pop singer/songwriter Oleyda.
  • August 4-5: Snack on South Asian delicacies while enjoying live musical performances and free kids’ art workshops at the TD Mosaic Festival, a celebration of the rich art, culture and cuisine of South Asian Canadians at Celebration Square. 
  • August 5: Experience The Green Box – Puppet Show based on Victor Hugo’s The Man Who Laughs, suitable for ages 13+, a magical performance presented by talented puppeteers at the Crane Creations Theatre Company, hosted at the Maja Prentice Theatre.
  • August 5: Listen to the energetic music of the Irie Vibes Band at the Cooksville Four Corners Summer Concert Series.
  • August 6: Jazz and blues meet modern influences as Melissa Lauren performs during the Port Credit Memorial Park Summer Concert Series.

August 7th - 13th

  • August 9: Enjoy an evening of great music and dance the night away in Port Credit Memorial Park during the second performance of Free Concerts in the Park with the Mississauga Pops!
  • August 9: Find balance during Sunset Yoga in the Park – Divinely You Greater Love Yoga at Port Credit Memorial Park.
  • August 10: Pick up a frozen treat while supporting SickKids during DQ® Canada’s 21st Annual Miracle Treat Day in-store event.
  • August 11: Hear the amazing Adina V x Lisa Shen at the Streetsville Village Square Summer Concert Series.
  • August 11 – 12: Indulge in delicious cuisine while experiencing cultural displays, live performances, bocce, and scopa card tournaments, artisans, and more at Mississauga Italfest in Celebration Square.
  • August 12: Find a historic, one-of-a-kind treasure at The Antique Market at the Small Arms Inspection Building.
  • August 12: Gamers, explore over 150 vendors, show off your cosplay and play at more than 50 gaming stations at GAMEX, happening at the International Centre.
  • August 13: Rock out with Tall Order during the Port Credit Memorial Park Summer Concert Series.
  • August 13: Be part of the largest free midway funfair event and enjoy an Artisan marketplace, free midway rides, food trucks, face paintings, shopping, kids activities grand fireworks, and a live performance by an Abba tribute band.

August 14th - 20th

  • August 18: Listen to tunes from talented musician Geneva Lei at the Streetsville Village Square Summer Concert Series.
  • August 19: See an incredible showcase of handcrafted goods and shop for unique gifts at the Summer Artisan Series Market hosted at the Crescent Hill Gallery.
  • August 19: Join Amani Upendo Wellness Coaching and Bathgate Golf Centre for Back 2 School Mini Golf for some family fun.
  • August 19: Support business-minded youth Young Bosses in Business Youth Market SZN 2 at the Small Arms Inspection Building featuring a kid’s vendors market, fashion show, mocktail mixology, entertainment and more.
  • August 19 – 20: Experience the best of Japanese culture, food, and technology, including amazing shows, vendors and cultural displays, at Japan Festival Canada in Celebration Square.
  • August 20: See incredible artists plus sound healers at the free all-ages event Humble & Hungry Music Fest at Streetsville Town Square to raise awareness for mental health.

  • August 22 – 27: Visit the Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival to experience the premiere of Brown People Can’t Be Ballerinas.
  • August 25: Enjoy the pop music of Stephanie Braganza at the Streetsville Village Square Summer Concert Series.
  • August 25 – 26: Celebrate Egyptian Heritage Month with a fantastic free festival in Celebration Square showcasing how diverse, deep-rooted and modern the Egyptian heritage is.
  • August 26: Get your tickets and get ready for a thrilling show as MONSTER TRUCKS ALL OUT sets a collision course for the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
  • August 26: Be dazzled during an evening of magic and entertainment at Sin City Illusions – Magic and Mystery at the Rec Room.
  • August 26: Experience AMALGAM, an exhilarating cross-cultural fusion music concert that unites artists from diverse genres, at the Meadowvale Theatre.
  • August 27: Listen to the soulful sounds of the Heather Christine Quintet with special guest Matt Zaddy during the Port Credit Memorial Park Summer Concert Series.
