Learn more about the actions that were inspired by the incident.\n\nNo Place \n\nBradley Museum\, Anchorage Gallery from September 21 to December 18.\nCurated by Arezu Salamzadeh\, No Place relates to what it means to desire proximity to a place and identity outside one’s own\, and to bridge notions of identity\, place\, and desire.\nFor this installation\, these themes will be explored through the landscapes and myths of the American Southwest\, featuring custom sculptures of saloon doors\, horses\, and more.\nGet excited for a three-part drag karaoke series from October to December\, led by Arezu’s drag persona Rolls Rice.\n\nPanel discussion\nDreamland \n\nSmall Arms Inspection Building on August 31 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.\nCurated by Hibah Mian\, Dreamland poses the question: “Is it possible to exist in two places at one time?” which illustrates new ways to understand the passage of one space to another\, the move from a home to a house\, while learning stories of trauma and transformation.\nLearn more and register for the panel discussion.\n\nShare this

DESCRIPTION:Portugalo Fest is a new festival in Mississauga that hosted it’s inaugural event in 2022 and exists for the sole purpose of celebrating Portugal’s extremely rich and colourful heritage that dates back to the year 1139 as well as it’s culture that is a result of a complex flow of different civilizations during the last millennia. This event is organized by Portugalo – Portuguese Heritage Inc. an organization who’s Board Members are passionate about their Portuguese roots. \nA showcase of Portuguese traditions\, exceptional cuisine\, folklore\, talent\, vast history and fun activities will be demonstrated through Portugalo Fest. \nIn its inaugural year this greatly anticipated festival provided its guests with a rich\, dynamic\, unique\, fun and diversified cultural experience. With local and international artists in the entertainment line up guests enjoyed a free concert and some even danced the night away. \nPortugalo Fest is also home to the Canadian version of a Lisbon Style Group Wedding where couples will be married in one ceremony and provided with elements of the wedding at no cost to them through an application process. This group style wedding was introduced to Mississauga for the very first time by Portugalo Fest. \nShare this
